Bouquet Fulfillment Update and Tariff Talk

Bouquet Fulfillment Update and Tariff Talk

Hey folks!

Here's a little update for y'all on the production side of things, and American fulfillment.

Firstly, mass production has indeed wrapped for Bouquet and its dual expansion! We airmailed a few advance copies to ourselves so we could hand them off to our photographer and a few other folks in our home cities. We also received word that our pallets going to European backers are all packed up, and ready to ship within the next week!

It's taken a little longer than we would have liked, but communication has been gummed up with our Manufacturer and shipping partners largely due to the recent tariff situation.

And on that subject, here's the news for US backers... As of writing this update, US tariffs on goods manufactured in China are projected to rise to 145% in the coming days. Simply put, we can't afford that.

Our line of thinking is this: Considering how erratic and radical the changes in tariffs have been over the last 2 weeks, we're betting that these rates aren't here to stay (We've played enough games of Bohnanza that we feel we have a really solid understanding of economic jockeying and international trade disputes). So we're going to pay for storage in China out of our own pocket until the rates (hopefully) come down to something more reasonable.

This means that for American backers, fulfillment will most likely be delayed into the summer or until the situation changes.

It also puts us in a pretty funny situation because we can't generate revenue until these games get out of that warehouse.

So if you want to support us further, you can check out our newly launched Patreon.

We're planning on making a lot of our games in progress public, and we're going to be offering some really cool stuff to people who subscribe, including free merch, a podcast, monthly game nights, limited run Patreon exclusive games and components, and special access to juicy company info!

We're not going to be promoting it on social media or anything for now. It's really just going to be for the superfans and the super dedicated who seek it out.

Rest assured though folks, regardless of all skies that are purportedly falling, RDG will still be here.

See ya around the gaming table.
