Enter Splendor. Splendor is an engine-building and resource management game around developing gem farms, collecting gems, and attracting Nobles. (C’mon, which Noble couldn’t resist a good sapphire necklace?). After panning for gold or reading up on your birthstone for a few hours, players should expect the following:
- A tendency to take loans they definitely can’t repay, but might deter others from taking the same loans
- A sense of Affluenza
- The urge to become a gem collector. One of each please!
- Possible arguments over why people care about onyx as a precious stone

Specialty Cocktail: Sapphire Martini
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add gin, blue curacao, and dry vermouth (optional). Shake vigorously until combined.
